Switched On Parents No platform funding. Ever. Who we are

Privacy

Short version: we have no accounts, we set no cookies, and we hold nothing about your child. If you give us your email address we use it for one thing and nothing else.

No accounts, no child data

There is nothing to sign up for. We never ask your child's name, age, school, devices or apps, and we have nowhere to put that information if you told us. That is deliberate. A database listing which children have unprotected devices would be an obvious target, so we do not build one.

Your place in a walkthrough

A guide can remember which step you reached, so you can close the page and come back. That is off by default. If you turn it on, the position is written to your own browser's local storage on that device only. It is never sent to us, we cannot read it, and turning the switch off deletes it immediately.

Analytics

We use privacy-first analytics that set no cookies and store nothing on your device. We can see that a page was viewed and roughly where in a guide people stop reading. We cannot see who you are, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Email updates

If you subscribe, we store your email address and nothing else. We use it for one purpose: telling you when a setting covered by one of our guides has changed.

Nothing is stored when you submit the form. We send one email asking you to confirm, and your address is only recorded if you click the link in it. The link expires after 24 hours. If you never click, we never hold anything. Every message after that carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Our email provider is Resend, who process and deliver the messages on our behalf under contract. Open and click tracking are both switched off, so we cannot see whether you read an email or what you clicked in it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and withdraw consent at any time. For almost everyone the answer to the first question is: nothing, unless you subscribed, in which case it is your email address.

Who we share with

Nobody, for advertising or any other purpose. Our hosting provider and email provider process data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell anything and we have nothing to sell.
